European Ministers agree the Copenhagen Declaration on co-operation in vocational education and training.
Copenhagen Declaration on enhanced european co-operation in vocational education and training
On 30 November 2002 Ministers for Vocational Education and Training from thirty European countries adopted a Declaration in Copenhagen aiming to increase voluntary cooperation in vocational education and training, in order to promote mutual trust, transparency and recognition of competences and qualifications, and thereby establishing a basis for increasing mobility and facilitating access to lifelong learning. The target for implementation of the cooperation initiatives set out in the Declaration is 2010.
