SECCOMPAT Project

The SECCOMPAT project was launched under the Leonardo da Vinci EU Lifelong Learning Programme Key Activity 1 at the beginning of 2008 by a team of research and expert organisations from Lithuania, Austria, Czech Republic, France and Ireland. Entitled, "SECCOMPAT - EQF and compatibility of the sectoral qualifications between countries", the project explored issues regarding comparing sectoral qualifications, national qualifications frameworks in EU countries (in the context of current development of national qualifications frameworks) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). The aim of the project was to establish how useful the EQF is for comparing sectoral qualifications within the partner countries and to develop guidelines and recommendations for comparing sectoral qualifications between countries using National Qualifications Frameworks and the EQF.

The project was completed in January 2010 and the project report is available here.
