European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Seminars
The National Qualifications Authority of Ireland organised two seminars as part of the referencing process.
EQF Seminar April 2009
The National Steering Committee held a seminar for stakeholders on 20 April 2009.
- National Qualifications Frameworks: Developments in Europe and the UK and their relationship to EQF – Dr. Mike Coles, QCA
- The Framework for Qualifications of the European Higher Education Area (‘Bologna’ Framework): Recent developments Dr. Bryan Maguire, HETAC and Mr. Lewis Purser, IUA
- EQF implementation in Ireland – Dr. Jim Murray, NQAI
- The following members of the National Steering Committee also delivered brief presentations on key criteria from the Referencing Report: Mr Edwin Mernagh (Technical Consultant), Ms Mary Sheridan (HETAC), Ms Orla Lynch (FETAC) and Mr John Hammond (NCCA).
EQF Seminar September 2009
The Irish authorities and the European Commission jointly organised a seminar on 17 September 2009 to mark the completion of the Irish referencing process and to communicate EQF more widely. The following presentations are available:
